End Semester 1

Well, looks like my first semester of the Air Force ROTC is over with, wow, it went fast. I had no idea that I would be as busy as I was just going to school and doing the ROTC stuff.
Last Friday night was our AAS Candidate night and it was intense. I got to the DET about 2100 and didn't leave until 0700 the next morning. We went through several "Superman" drills where you have to change as fast as you can. We did a lot of PT and marching, we also went running all over BYU campus doing different exercises.

Last Thursday was the last day of FTP. This week we spent doing parade practice in the mornings. We had evaluations on Tuesday night, I did pretty well when I was the Squadron commander a few weeks ago, so I scored, high, but not that high. Wednesday night we had a AAS meeting, we're finally members of the Arnold Air Society, it took us all semester, but we finally did it. Yeah!
The parade was today, it went just fine, I just stood there and didn't do that much. We just marched around and stood for a long time. We had an awards ceremony after that. I got some academic achievement award and also another one, I cant remember the name of it, but it was for being a good cadet, I guess.
Next semester, here I come.
