At the national conclave, us next to General Richard Myers Posted by Hello

Okay, there is no good excuse for me not writing in my blog for most of the last semester. I guess some of the initial excitement of the Air Force ROTC thing has kind of worn off. But I am still in the program and have no plans on leaving it.
The past semester has been packed full of flight meetings, PT, Lead Lab. . . All sorts of stuff. One of the things that isn't fun for me anymore are the drills and marching, which is what we have done to an excessive amount in the last 2 months. I used to get a kick out of it and enjoy going every morning, but they found a way to get to me and now when I show up every morning and they say "today, were going to do IDEs" I don't think "oh boy!" I think other things and it aint good. But I still go.

last week the Arnold Air society has had a National Conclave in Oklahoma City. I went and it was a lot of fun. There were a lot of meetings and some of it was boring, but we met a lot of cool people and had a lot of fun. We flew out on a Friday night and had meetings most of the next Saturday. We got to hear from an old WASP lady and that was really cool. We went to a few clubs and ate at some Mexican restaurant. Lots of fun. The last day we got to hear from general Richard G. Myers, he's the chairmen of the joint chiefs of staff and that was really cool to see him. We got out picture taken next to him. I hope to post that on here soon.

I got my enrollment allocation to field training a few weeks ago. This just means that I have the job, I just don't know when or where it is yet. This week I found out where I'm going. And I'm going to Maxwell AFB in Alabama. I leave from here on May 25th and return June 23rd. This is good. And I look forward to the plane ride home.
